The challenge of maintaining aging infrastructure is a hot topic among urban utility providers. As a part of New York City Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) continuing effort to maintain the reliability and functionality of New York City's crucial wastewater infrastructure, DEP contracted with engineering consultants to revitalize 15 pumping stations throughout NYC.
This Water Wednesday provides insights into the reconstruction and rehabilitation of one of those facilities, Avenue U Pumping Station, located in Brooklyn, NY.
Join us to learn about the comprehensive state of good repair improvements undertaken at the Avenue U Pumping Station, including the innovations, best practices, successes and challenges encountered.
