In this report, we share our estimated tender price increases for 2023 alongside dedicated construction industry performance reviews for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You will also find our indicative building costs base dated to January 2023. In last year’s annual review report, we expressed our hope that 2022 would be less volatile than the preceding years which were marked by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the unpredictability has continued. Safe to say, we have all come to expect the unexpected. Nevertheless, the industry across the island of Ireland has shown impressive resilience and flexibility to adapt, making the most of the time and resources that are available.
We can be certain of one trend: the continued rise in prominence of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues not only across the island of Ireland but across the world.
At AECOM we are delivering Sustainable Legacies, our own ESG strategy and services offering. We warmly invite you to read our 2022 ESG Report in which we detail how we are providing truly sustainable solutions for our clients informed by decades of experience, industry-leading ESG expertise and, above all, a drive to do good and be good.
Within the island of Ireland, we are proud to support governmental organisations, city and county authorities as well as private sector clients to understand their current and future climate change risk and resilience options, as well as helping them prepare net zero and decarbonisation strategies to align with the latest legislative and policy updates.
We hope you find the information contained within both reports to be informative and useful in these unprecedented times.
